Free and fair elections are the bedrock foundation of our Republic. Your vote counts, and it starts with making sure you are registered.

If you are a long-time resident of Shoshone County, you are probably registered already. Even if you are already registered, beginning in 2012, to participate in both the Republican Caucus ( see "What's a Caucus?" ) and the Republican Primary (see "Primary Elections in Idaho"), you will need to be registered specifically as a Republican.
This is a change of practice from years past.
You can access our online Voter Registration form, as well as our online Party Affiliation form, at the link in the upper right corner of this page.
Please note that while the Registration Form is just that, it can also be used to notify of a change of name, a change of address, or to simultaneously declare party affiliation. Just fill out the form, print it, and deliver it to the courthouse. Don't forget to print a copy for your records.
Remember, to register, you must deliver the form in person, so you can verify who you are. Be sure to take picture identification with you.
The affiliation can be mailed in, or delivered by someone other than yourself. The Clerk's Office will reply to you with a confirmation letter, so you know they got it, and so they know someone didn't "affiliate you" without your knowledge of it.
