Greetings fellow Republicans,
On Tuesday March 6, 2012, for the first time Republicans throughout Idaho will officially gather together in county-wide caucuses to make known our choice for President. Shoshone County will be participating. The result of that caucus will be presented via State Delegates to the Republican National Convention, to be held August 27th through 30th in Tampa Bay, Florida.
At our local County-wide caucus, one of these guys will become the official choice of the majority of Shoshone County Republicans. You, fellow Republican, are invited to participate in the process.

The word caucus, generally means , a group of people meeting together to pick a candidate to represent them for political reasons. This is what we will be doing. In the midst of all the goings on, I hope we can get to know each as neighbors and fellow Republicans.
Here is how we hope it is going to happen. First, the location will be the Osburn VFW Hall Post 1675, 4th and Mullan, in Osburn. Doors will open at 5:00 PM, for registration of folks not already registered, and for filling out affiliation slips. At 6:00 PM we will be registering, for the caucus, pre-registered Republicans. The first round of voting will begin when registration is completed.
VOTING: Each registered voter will be given six (6) tickets upon entering, CAUTION: PLEASE DO NOT LOSE THESE TICKETS. No seconds to be given. These tickets are numbered 1 through 6. A ticket, representing one round of voting, shall be surrendered in exchange for a token. That token, representing your vote, shall be deposited by you into a sealed container. Candidates names will be on the containers, which will be located behind a curtain.
At the end of each round of voting, the containers shall be brought in front of all in attendance and each can will be opened, one at a time, and counted by members of the caucus committee, in front of all. The results will be certified by members of the voting public. Then the total count of the tokens and the total number of tickets shall be compared. If a discrepancy exists then we will null that round and another takes its place.
The rounds continue until a candidate emerges with 50% plus one of the total vote. If a candidate does not achieve 15% of the total vote in a round, that candidate will be eliminated.
Every effort is being made to insure a honest voting experience. Everything will be conducted in front of the voters, including counting of votes, sealing of containers, and reporting to the State Central Committee. You will hear the transmittal of the votes, via telephone from our two voting satellite locations, Caulder/Avery and Clarkia area. Milt Turley, Precinct Committee from Avery will conduct the caucus for Calder/Avery and Clarkia voters will meet at the same place as the Benewah County Republicans, but will report their results to us.
You will hear me contact "Watch the Vote 2012," the State Central Committee, and the local press, if they are so interested. The results, certified by myself, two members of the County Central Committee and three members of the voting public, chosen by you, will be mailed to the State Central Committee the next day, Wednesday the 7th of March. The results shall be posted on the Shoshone County Website, www.shoshone-gop.org.
I am looking forward to meeting you on the 6th of March. We are gathered together, as Republicans, to put a stop to this travesty of a Federal Government, running amok and interfering with our lives far more, than their restraining contract gives them a right to.
We are a Constitutional Republic not a socialist democracy. We Republicans know that...now lets exercise our right to VOTE and throw the "obama nation" out.
