A Message from the Chair

Hi, Folks,

Thanks for visiting our site.

I'd like to tell you a little about what it's like to live here in Shoshone County.

The County spreads and stretches quite a bit and like most Counties, we have our fair share of the different kinds of people. Yeah, we are all different shapes, sizes, colors, but we all agree on these few things; we love Shoshone County, we love Idaho, and we love these U.S. of A.

There's skiing, snowmobiling, enjoying the winter outdoors. That's winter. Comes summer, more good stuff to do, and it is never to hot to enjoy doing it. did I mention the hunting and fishing?

And in it all, here we are; your neighbors, your classmates, your fellow workers, the kids' coach, the coach's kid. Republicans all. The only difference is in the feeling about who should run our life ... government or ourselves.

We Republicans believe you should run you own lives, your own cities, your own county, your own state. We believe that you, working through your elected school board, run your schools. We believe that government, any government, is the servant to the people, that the States created the Federal, not the other way around. We believe that our responsibility to each other is to support our Constitution, to insure that the minority is always heard. We believe that our Representatives are chosen by us and not by some one other then "We the People". We believe that the best government is the one closest to the people. How can a Senator from New Jersey know what's best for a Idahoan.

There you are. A bit feisty you say? Might be, but you won't find us standing in line to get on a bus to "The New World Order".

Chair,
